Even after more than 20 years as a Realtor, I feel I was taken advantage of and it cost me a lot of money.

I keep thinking about my neighbors who speak English as a second language or are navigating immigration concerns. How much harder might it be for them to question a landlord, understand a lease, or speak up when something feels wrong?

That’s why I’m sharing my experience. Opening a brick-and-mortar business takes so much hard work, money, and heart. I want other business owners to know what questions to ask, what to watch for, and how to better protect what they’re building.

❤️ ONE LOVE CAFÉ UPDATE ❤️

We wanted to give our community a quick update on what’s happening with One Love Café.

We are still in negotiations on TWO possible locations in South San Francisco. We’re hopeful and working hard behind the scenes, but things are not moving as quickly as I would like. There are a lot of pieces that have to come together before we can officially say, “This is our new home.”

What we do know is that our time in San Bruno is coming to an end. 💔

We’ve been letting everyone know that Sunday, September 27th will be our last day serving you at our San Bruno location.

Between now and then, we hope you’ll come see us, bring your friends, grab breakfast or coffee, have a drink, and help us make these last weeks in San Bruno something special. ❤️

So many of you have asked, “How can we help?”

The biggest way to help right now is simply to keep supporting One Love — come eat, drink, share our posts, tell your friends about us, and follow along as we work to get our next location across the finish line.

For those who have asked about contributing directly to our relocation, my sister created a GoFundMe to help with the enormous cost of moving and rebuilding One Love:
