It is with a very heart I have to give the news that we have stopped all progress on Ginger’s Bistro and are currently in a legal battle. I can’t go into detail but it’s been an emotional, stressful, frustrating YET humbling situation the last 8 weeks. Humbling because of all of you! I’m not looking for sympathy because we WILL come back stronger and more successful than ever. I just want to tell you all THANK YOU for the love, support, encouragement and most of all, for trusting in us. You have no idea how much that means to me. I will never label myself a failure, even though I’ve had moments of those feelings. I consider myself a fighter, and I will not go down without a fight. Hopefully something good comes out of all of this and I believe it will. The Gofund me has been shut down and all proceeds will go back to its rightful owner within 7 to 10 days. Even though it was a tough decision to make, John and I have come to terms with this and we are OK.

My wife and I are trying to open a restaurant here in San Antonio, Texas. We just found out our contractor was delaying progress and stealing all at the same time. We desperately need the funding to fix and complete everything outstanding. The name of our business is Ginger’s Bistro, and you can google us to view the legitimacy of who we are and what we are trying to do.

I am a 100% disabled veteran of the military with a 100% combat related disability. This restaurant is going to be a testament to my family who have served as first responders or in the military. (Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Fire, and Medical) We are in the process of suing our contractor which could take upwards of two months. We need to get open quicker than that otherwise I lose our entire investment. Any amount helps, big or small. If you can’t donate, we understand. Please keep us in your prayers and share this post. Patio bar top has been poured in preparation for the garage doors (bar doors that open up the bar to the patio) that will be installed Monday. Also, bathrooms are being tiled and should be finished next week! Paint is picked out and we can’t wait for this place to open!
