Beyer, sits on land first granted title in 1777 by the King of Spain. The Spanish Colonial period hacienda became the core of the new business. The cedar door and window lintels, the fireplace, and thick rock walls, are still evident inside the building. Casa Rio was the first San Antonio business to open its doors to the River and take advantage of the River's setting. Canoes, gondolas, and paddle boats, evolving into tour and dinner boats, began here and helped create the Riverwalk of today.

Today, October 1st, we’re celebrating 80 years of Casa Rio by serving up our signature Regular Plate for just 70¢! 🎉

A recipe steeped in tradition: cheese enchilada with chili con carne, pork tamal, rice, and beans. 🌮❤️

For 80 years, Casa Rio has been serving up great food, margaritas, and memories on the San Antonio River Walk. Come celebrate this milestone with us and pair your plate with a margarita! 🍹
