kapej means coffee in mayan language , Laura Lopez artist and owner of Kapej Gallery came up with the idea to have a place to display her art while providing opportunity to others local artist.

Hope y’all had a great weekend! Took our opportunity to venture out and support another small business this past Saturday.

Special shout out to Rudy and Laura of .satx for taking the time to chat with me so I could learn a bit about the history of their coffee shop.

The vibe is truly unique, and quality is their commitment. I got to try their Kapej con leche…brown sugar, milk, and espresso is a 🔥 combo. My wife had the iced Chai, and there was nothing artificial about it. Both drinks delicious, and treats were enjoyable also.

They also have an ample supply of local art for sale. Before heading over to park, we picked up a handmade Kapej coffee mug. There’s just something about drinking coffee out of a mug, especially when you know it’s quality and one-of-a-kind.
