Once again we made it. For the second year in a row we were voted number ONE. For the best chicken in San Antonio. I thank God because through his word I was taught to believe in myself. I thank my mother who taught me to “never judge a job by how much you earn; but judge it by how much you learn. What you learn can turn into what you earn”. I thank my customers because I know they have a choice when it comes down to where they eat. I thank everyone for giving us an opportunity to serve them.

We are thankful for Chatman’s chicken customers that voted in the MYSA awards and to Mike Sutter for acknowledging our business as well.

3 months ago I noticed a problem. The problem was that none of my employees had an emergency fund. Everyone should have a $400.00 to $600.00 emergency fund. I decided to change that. I gave all of my employees a $2.00 raise. For those employees working 40 hours a week that’s an extra $80.00 a week. Those working 52 hours a week. That’s an extra $116.00 a week. By doing this it was my way of helping them help themselves. That’s $320.00 - $464.00 extra a month. $3840.00 - $5568.00 extra a year My hope is they take the opportunity to help themselves.
