First in Asia Golden Ale is a clear, golden-colored, soft-bodied ale with mild hop bitterness and bready malt sweetness, balanced with the bright fresh flavor of 100% Nelson Sauvin hops!

Named after the motto of the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), a U.S. Army Special Forces unit that was activated on 24 June 1957 at Camp Drake, Japan. It was among the first groups of the Special Forces to be officially formed. The 1st SFG (A) is tasked with an area of operations within the Asia-Pacific theater.

Happy Flag Day and Happy Birthday to the US Army!

The US Army is the oldest and most senior branch of the U.S. military in order of precedence, and the modern U.S. Army has its roots in the Continental Army, which was formed (14 June 1775) to fight the American Revolutionary War from 1775 to 1783. The Army’s 250th marks two and a half centuries of service, sacrifice, and strength since its founding.

Yesterday we released “250”, our beer made in honor of the United States' upcoming 250th Birthday.

It's kind of a big deal, and so is this beer! At 7.2% ABV, it's a deceptively smooth heavy hitter, with notes of citrus, waffles, and honey.

On this day in 1942, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was created by a military order issued by FDR who appointed William “Wild Bill” Donovan as its director.

OSS was organized as a centralized intelligence agency combining research and analysis, covert operations, counterintelligence, espionage and technical development.

The OSS is considered a legacy unit of the modern CIA, as well as Special Operations and specifically US Army Special Forces. Indeed, COL Aaron Bank (considered the father of Special Forces) were among its members. COL Bank and several others were responsible for brining the the OSS’ Unconventional Warfare mission to Special Forces - which remains today as its primary mission!

Several of Longtab’s beers are named in honor of the OSS:
Jedburgh, OG, OSS, SKV, Augustus, Stiletto, Bank’s Warriors, V42, UW, PhDs Who Can Win A Bar Fight, and Glorious Amateur.

You saw the historic D-Day jump*. Now taste the flavors of Normandy.

This month our weekend special is Chicken Normandy, or Poulet à la Normande: Two roasted chicken quarters topped with a rich sauce made with our Normandy French Summer Ale, mushrooms, and cream - served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and green beans.

It pairs perfectly with Longtab's commemorative Normandy French Summer Ale, a smooth refreshing beer with notes of citrus, waffles, and honey.

We raise a glass to honor and recognize all women who serve and have served in our Armed Forces. On June 12, 1948, President Truman signed the Women's Armed Forces Integration Act. Women serving in all branches of the military have been a force to be reckoned with, both before and after that date.

Thank you for your service and sacrifices, seen and unseen.

The Cubano is a contentious sandwich. Both Key West and Tampa claim to be the origin, and Miami and Tampa have a long rivalry over who makes the best. Regardless, it's delicious!

Longtab's Cubano features beer-braised pork shoulder, pecan-smoked ham, pickles, melted Swiss cheese, and jalapeño dijonnaise, pressed on a fresh bolillo roll. So good!

Our V42 Belgian Dubbel is rich, malty, and full of character, with a nod to monastic brewing heritage. Expect notes of dark fruit and caramel, with low hop bitterness and a smooth finish.

V42 is the name of the iconic stiletto knife (shown in the pic) carried by the First Special Service Force, and is seen on the Special Forces regimental crest and the Longtab logo. V is for Victory, designed in 1942 - thus “V42.”

Today we released NORMANDY French Summer Ale, brewed to commemorate the anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Yesterday, Dave and Mike made another historic jump into Normandy. We were so proud to once again be able to participate with RCPT-France and RCPT-USA in commemoration of this incredible day in world history.

Normandy 82nd Anniversary French Summer Ale is a smooth, rich and complex bière de garde with with pronounced maltiness and low bitterness, and notes of marmalade and honeysuckle. It will be available on tap & in 4-packs to go!

This year commemorates the 82nd Anniversary of D Day. We were so proud to once again be able to participate with RCPT-France and RCPT-USA in commemoration of this incredible day in world history.

Not only is it our privilege to participate in this event, but also to be able to commemorate it in our own little way. This time with our families in tow!

It is our hope that these events help us remember this important event, especially the incredible sacrifices of those brave men and women.

On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight N**i Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France.

Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which, “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe.

The cost in lives on D-Day was high. More than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 Soldiers to begin the slow, hard slog across Europe, to defeat Adolf Hitler’s crack troops.

Please take a moment to remember the sacrifices made by these incredible soldiers on this day 82 years ago.
