We’re mixing vintage finds with new details to create a space that feels unique to Blush. Where weekend brunch, handcrafted cocktails, dinner, and great music all come together.

POV: You’re renovating a restaurant in downtown San Antonio while still serving brunch… and every day brings a new decision. 😂🔨

On day 16, the old chandeliers are out, the new ones are up, soundproofing is being installed, and we’re debating the little details you might not even notice…like which napkins belong on the table. 👀

Because we’re not just building a new bar. We’re creating a whole new Blush experience from weekend brunch and coffee to dinner, handcrafted cocktails, and nights out with great music. 🥂

Another day, another round of deliveries… and apparently, our daughters are now the official quality control team at Blush. 😂🪑

The new stools are here (and approved ✅), the booth is getting installed, we scored a chandelier on Marketplace, and the soundproofing has arrived!

Between construction, deliveries, last-minute finds, and a million little decisions, there’s never a dull moment around here.

While Efren is busy perfecting the new dinner menu, the terrace is getting its finishing touches, the booths are getting painted, and our new bar chandeliers have officially arrived! 💡🥂

It’s exciting to see all the pieces we’ve been planning finally start coming together. From the food to the atmosphere, we’re putting so much thought into every detail to make this next chapter of Blush something special.

We’re thinking about every part of the experience, including what happens before you even walk through the doors.

If you’ve ever tried to find parking downtown, you know the struggle. 😅 Luckily, we have a parking lot right next to Blush and we’re now working on bringing in valet service for dinner and the new bar.

We’re meeting with different companies to find the right fit for our guests and make getting to Blush just a little easier.

Because your night should start the moment you arrive. 🥂

Today was taste-testing day… and honestly, we may have eaten a little too much. 😂

Our new dinner menu brings together Pan-American and Italian influences, inspired by the flavors, traditions, and ingredients we love.

Every dish is created by our owner & chef, Efren, and made in-house from scratch—including our fresh pasta, sauces, and even the bread.

And after tasting everything… we can confidently say, we’re very excited about this menu. 🤌🏼

We can’t wait for you to sit down, have a drink, and experience it for yourself.

Today was all about drink testing! 🍹

We’ve been working on the new cocktail menu for dinner and the bar, and after tasting our way through everything… let’s just say we have a problem. They’re ALL good. 😂

Now comes the hard part: naming them.

We had to bring the DJs in for a little construction site tour… because they needed to see their new home. 😂🎧

We walked them through the progress, checked out the new DJ booth, and started talking music, schedules, and the vibe we want for the new bar.

We’ve gotten a lot of questions about why we’re renovating while we’re still open, so we wanted to share a little more of the “why” behind all of this.

This renovation isn’t just about adding a bar and dinner. We’re reimagining the entire Blush experience. From the entrance and patio to the lighting, greenery, seating, DJ booth, and all the little details inside. We are making changes to create a better experience for you.

We want brunch to feel even better, while also creating a space that transitions naturally into dinner, cocktails, and a whole new side of Blush. 🍸✨

And yes… we’re doing all of this while staying OPEN. 😂
