Some days are better than others. Today was one of the slower ones. ❤️

We’ve made the decision to close at 5 PM today, and while our team is a little disappointed, we know tomorrow is another opportunity.

Here’s the thing about small businesses: every customer matters. Every sandwich ordered, every friend you bring, every recommendation you make helps keep our doors open, our team working, and our little corner of the South Side alive.

We’re not a big corporation. We’re a family-owned business with a hardworking team, a historic building, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️

Local jazz legend Toro Flores is back at Cuba 1918! 🎸

Toro has been traveling and performing across the country, and we’re so happy to welcome him home to our stage tonight. You may have heard him play at other places-but there is nothing quite like experiencing live music inside Cuba 1918: intimate, soulful, and close enough to feel every note.

Tonight, we're bringing the beautiful sounds of acoustic jazz live, right to you! Yes, Jazz Club is still happening, regardless of the rain! This is in fact the perfect accompaniment to a rainy evening. Come enjoy the beautiful sounds of acoustic guitar and stand up bass in our historic building and soak in the atmosphere of our burgeoning Quintana District. Out of an abundance of caution for our team and our guests, Cuba 1918 will be closed today. 🌧️

We’re grateful for this much-needed rain, but days like today do have a real impact on small businesses like ours.

We hope you’ll make your way over to the historic Quintana tomorrow and show some love to local. Every lunch, every dinner, every ticket, every visit matters more than you probably realize.
