This Is It! The final weekend of Live On The Avenue 2026, and what a great line up to wrap up Marin County's longest running free summer concert and downtown street festival. Rockin late: Creekside will be open until 10:00PM both Friday and Saturday nights as it is going to be an Epic Weekend with bands MoonAlice, Talley Up, F.A.T. Betty, and El Cajon, plus activities on the avenue, KidsZone, great food and drinks. Performances begin at 6 PM with special kickoff acknowledgments for all of the local sponsors, businesses, and people behind-the-scenes, supporting our community, and making San Anselmo, our town, The Heart of Marin. COMEDY IN THE PARK happens this Saturday, September 5th as part of San Anselmo's "Live On The Avenue"
Free summer festival. Comedy night returns by popular demand with Johnny Steele, Larry "Bubbles" Brown, Sue Alfieri, Don Reed, and Pat Townsley, plus special musical guest Paul Geller. Creek Park lawn opens for seating at 5:30. Acoustic music at 6:15, with a prompt 7:00 PM comedy show time. This weekend's special show is produced and presented by Creekside Pizza & Taproom, the Town of San Anselmo, and the many sponsors of Live On The Avenue. CONTENT ADVISORY: PG-13 rated for adult humor and professional nightclub-level subject matter not appropriate for all ages. Low-back chairs ans blankets welcome. This Is The Way: STAR WARS NIGHT at Live On The Avenue, Saturday August 29th. Special guest appearance by the 501st Legion's Golden Gate Garrsion of Star Wars characters including stormtroopers, Tusken Raiders, Jawas, Sandpeople, Mandalorians, Imperial Guards, X-wing pilots, Rebels, droids, and maybe a visit from Grogu and Lord Vader himself. Costumes and Light Sabers encouraged! Photo-Op in front of Creekside and along the avenue. Totally Free big screen double feature in Creek Park showing Star Wars episode IV (A New Hope) and The Empire Strikes Back. Thank you to our very special anonymous donor who made this film night possible. Blankets and Low back chairs welcome in the amphitheater. Additional live music performance Town Hall Plaza, plus the usual family fun along San Anselmo Avenue from 6pm until 9pm, and may the force be with you. Fresh, simple, classic farm-to-mouth sliced zucchini, grape tomatoes, shredded oven roasted lemon pepper chicken, fresh basil, and shaved parm. Garlic optional. It's great one. Available for only two more weeks before we move into our September early Oktoberfest-mode.
