☕️✨ BIG NEWS, CHAI LOVERS! ✨☕️

We’re upgrading our chai at Wakey Monkey! 🎉

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be serving AppalaChai — a small-batch chai concentrate made locally in Black Mountain, NC! 🌄

🌿 100% Organic
🌿 Locally sourced ingredients whenever possible
🌿 “More spice, less sweet” — just the way we like it!

AppalaChai brings bold, delicious notes of:
🤎 Cinnamon
🤎 Ginger
🤎 Cardamom
🤎 Clove

The result? A rich, flavorful chai with the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. We think you’re going to love it!

We’re especially excited to partner with another local company that shares our appreciation for quality ingredients and supporting our community. ❤️

Come by Wakey Monkey and give our upgraded chai a try! Whether you love your chai latte hot or iced, we can’t wait to share it with you.

🎉 Wakey Monkey is turning 7! 🎉

On August 23, 2019, Matt Noller opened the doors of Wakey Monkey for the very first time. Little did he know just how much this little coffee shop—and the community around it—would experience over the next seven years!

Wakey has navigated a pandemic, Hurricane Helene, and even the wildfires that impacted our area in the spring of 2025. Through all of it, Wakey has continued to be a place where friends meet, neighbors gather, and great coffee is shared. ☕️❤️

As the current owners, we are incredibly grateful to be a part of the Wakey Monkey story and, most importantly, grateful for YOU—our amazing customers. Your support, encouragement, conversations, smiles, and loyalty mean more to us than we could ever put into words.

Seven years is quite a milestone, and we couldn’t have made it this far without the wonderful community that surrounds us.

Happy 7th Anniversary, Wakey Monkey! 🐒☕️🎂

Here’s to seven years of coffee, community, memories, and many more to come!

Thank you, Saluda, for making Wakey Monkey what it is today! ❤️
