Hello! We are back and open our normal hours today! The HVAC people came through to take a look at our unit and the part has been ordered, so let's hope it gets here soon! 🤞🏽
Until then, we will do what we can to keep the building nice and cool. Thankfully the weather is cooperating, the temperature has dropped down for us, and there has been some cooling rain.
We are back to our normal hours, barring any unexpected situations. We know you're anxious for us to get back on track - so are we. 😊
Thank you for the supportive comments from everyone. Keeping our employees safe is top priority and, while it was a really tough decision, we did what we had to in order to put them first. You all are appreciated for being so understanding that we are all human and can only handle so much; and shouldn't be made to take more than we can handle. So, let's start our work week off like usual! Happy Wednesday, y'all! 🫶🏽

Here's your update: unfortunately, we will be closed again tomorrow. We checked the thermostat as late as 7 o’clock this evening and it was still 89°. This temperature does not include the added heat from the equipment we would need to run in order to be open (the pizza oven, grill, fryers, ice cream machine, coffee pot, etc).
And believe us, we understand the disappointment and frustration! We are quite upset about the situation ourselves, but as we have previously mentioned, we put our employees first.
So we'll call it as it is and say: we can't wait to see y'all Wednesday morning! 🫶🏽

As of 4:30am, it was already 88° in the store, even after giving it almost 12 hours to cool down. Unfortunately, we are going to go ahead and call it for the day. We don't want to risk our employees' safety. We are going to try to get the HVAC guy in to look at our ac and hopefully get it fixed. Enjoy your holiday, stay tuned for information on whether or not we can open tomorrow! 🎆 🎇 🇺🇸

Just a little proof of how hot it got in the building today - the first picture gives you an idea of how much cotton candy is supposed to be in these bags... The second picture is what the heat has done to them!
We're not exaggerating when we say it was suffocatingly hot in the restaurant today. And we're sincere in our apologies - we know how disappointing it is for you to have stopped in only to find out we closed early, but our employees and their health/safety comes first. Closing down is never an easy decision.
We hope, regardless of some broken hearts, that you all enjoy the rest of your Independence Day Eve. Keep your eyes peeled for any updates from us about tomorrow. You all rock! 🫶🏽

We are CLOSING early today! We want to apologize for the inconvenience, but with this heat, our poor air conditioner is having a difficult time keeping up! It is effecting our ice cream machine, our ice machine, and other equipment. On top of that, with temperature reaching 90° in the lobby, we know it's way hotter in the kitchen and we don't want to make our staff deal with the suffocating heat more than they have today!
We thank you for your understanding and patience with our decision. Hopefully it will cool off enough for tomorrow to run a bit more smoothly. The plan is to be open tomorrow, but please keep an eye out in case the heat becomes too much again.
Again, thank you all so much!
