We are incredibly honored to see Valter’s Osteria named the most iconic Italian restaurant in Utah.

The article remembers Valter Nassi as the local legend we all knew and loved, while celebrating the handmade pasta, tableside service and unmistakable theatrical flair that made dining with Valter such an experience.

This recognition belongs to Valter, whose vision and generous spirit created something truly special; to our remarkable team, who continue carrying that vision forward; and to every guest who has supported us, shared a meal with us and helped keep Valter’s memory alive.

To be called “iconic” is an incredible honor. To remain part of your celebrations, traditions and memories means even more.

Yesterday marked four years since we lost our beloved Valter.

It is hard to believe so much time has passed because, in so many ways, he is still here. We feel his presence throughout the restaurant—in the warmth of the dining room, in the laughter around the tables, in every heartfelt welcome and in the traditions he created.

Most of all, Valter’s memory is kept alive by all of you. Every guest who shares a story, remembers a favorite meal or raises a glass in his honor reminds us that what Valter created was so much more than a restaurant. He created a place where people felt loved, celebrated and at home.

Four years later, we still miss him deeply. We remain honored to carry forward his spirit, his generosity and his extraordinary love of bringing people together.

We miss you, Valter. You will always be the heart of this place. ❤️
