3. In Store: come talk to us in person 2696 Highland Dr.

We generally receive our letter order at the end of October. Once they are in, it will take a week or two to fill them all. Orders are filled in the order they are received.

Since 1978, The Old Dutch Store has brought a little piece of the Netherlands to Salt Lake City! It began when Adrian and Els Groos opened their shop to give local Dutch immigrants a true taste of home. Their friend Pieter VanSchelt joined to set up the meat counter and stayed for decades, crafting his famous Bratwurst and Weisswurst.

In 2003, Pieter’s daughter Sharon and her husband Glenn carried the legacy forward. Pieter made Bratwurst in-house and passed the knowledge on to his granddaughter Katie.

Today, we honor that family tradition while celebrating Dutch and Northwestern European specialties, authentic flavors, and cultural events that bring our community together.

Whether you grew up with these treats or you’re discovering them for the first time, we’d love to welcome you. Come on in and feel right at home!
