The Saucy Rooster Sallisaw

09/22/2026

We just want to take a minute and say THANK YOU.

The amount of calls, messages, comments, and support we’ve received from people asking us not to let The Saucy Rooster leave Sallisaw has honestly been overwhelming.

We heard from so many people telling us how much they wanted us to stay open.

And then one message in particular changed everything.

That conversation turned into something we honestly weren’t expecting… and may have found the right people who want to step up, take the reins, and continue The Saucy Rooster right here in Sallisaw. 🐓🔥

There are still a few things being finalized, so we’re not ready to share all the details just yet.

But we can tell you this:

The future of The Saucy Rooster Sallisaw is looking a whole lot brighter.

Thank you, Sallisaw.

Seriously.

Stay tuned. 👀🐓

UPDATE: Because of the overwhelming response we received today, some unexpected conversations have taken place. We may have some very good news to share soon. Please stay tuned. 🐓❤️

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to close The Saucy Rooster Sallisaw location.

This wasn’t an easy decision. Sallisaw is where The Saucy Rooster started, and we’re incredibly grateful for every person who walked through our doors, ordered a meal, shared a post, left a review, or supported us along the way.

This isn’t the end of The Saucy Rooster.

Our Greenwood location is continuing to grow, and we’re shifting our focus toward expanding the Saucy Rooster brand, growing our sauce business, and working toward future franchise locations.

Sometimes growing a business means making hard decisions about where to put your time, energy, and resources. We believe this is the right move for the future of the brand.

Thank you, Sallisaw, for being where it all began. We’ll always be proud of that.

🚨 NOW HIRING — THE SAUCY ROOSTER 🚨

If you—or someone you know—might be a good fit, we’re looking for competent, dependable people who can handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Requirements include being able to read clearly printed tickets, operate a digital thermometer, recognize when food is burnt or undercooked before trying to send it out, multitask, follow simple instructions, and think more than three seconds ahead.

You must also be reliable, able to work well under pressure, and drug free.

We know… these are some pretty stringent requirements. 😂 But if you think you’ve got what it takes, come on down and interview with us!

Sallisaw… we need to talk. 🐓❤️

We know The Saucy Rooster hasn’t been what you originally came to know and love.

And we know some of you stopped coming.

We heard you.

Since taking operations back over, we’ve been working hard to get YOUR Saucy Rooster back to what it was meant to be — great food, great service, big portions and a place Sallisaw can be proud to call its own.

We’re not asking you to forget a bad experience.

We’re asking you to give us another shot to earn your business back.

Over the next few weeks you’re going to see some exciting things happening at The Saucy Rooster Sallisaw — specials, giveaways, community events and a few surprises we’re not announcing just yet. 👀🔥

But more importantly, we’re going to focus on what matters most:

🔥 Hot, fresh food
🐓 Quality you can count on
😊 Friendly service
❤️ Taking care of our community

If you haven’t been in for a while, come see us again.

If you’ve never tried us, now’s the time.

And if you’ve stuck with us through everything — THANK YOU.

We’re just getting started.

THE ROOSTER IS BACK. 🐓🔥
