🐄 Meet #72!
With that hairdo and a little attitude, she's got quite the personality! 🤣

She's got acres of beautiful green grass to enjoy, but where does she choose to spend her time?
Right next to the all-you-can-eat buffet! 🌾laugh 😄
Morning or evening, she's always got her favorite spot at the buffet!

Just another day at Nop Brothers & Sons Farm! ❤️

We’re giving London Broil a little love at the Beef Shack. 🥩❤️

It’s one of those cuts that can make a really good supper—but if you’ve never cooked one before, you might look at it and wonder, “Okay…what do I do with that?” 😂

So we’re making London Broil our first October special and giving you the recipe to go with it.

🍂 CODE WORD: HARVEST

Tell us the code word at the Beef Shack and get $2 OFF any London Broil, now through Saturday, October 10th.

And when you pick up your London Broil, grab our newest From Our Farm Kitchen recipe card—Marinated London Broil. We included directions for both the grill and the oven broiler, so no matter what Vermont weather decides to do, supper is covered. 😂🥶

Something new is taking shape around the farm. ❤️
Most of what we’ve shared here lately has been our Angus cattle and the Beef Shack, but there’s a much bigger part of Nop Brothers & Sons that you don’t see nearly as often.

We’re a dairy farm first. 🐄
And these little Holstein faces 🐮 are part of the reason for one of the biggest projects happening around here right now—a brand-new calf barn.

Our current calf barn is an old tie-barn style building. It has served the farm for a long time, but it’s no longer the best setup for what these little ones need. We want our calves to have the space and environment they need to stay healthy, grow strong, and get the best start we can give them. After all, these little girls are the future of our dairy. ❤️

Right now, the new barn doesn’t look like much more than concrete, stone, and a whole lot of work. 😂 But it’s a start.
We thought we’d bring you along and let you watch it take shape.
This is where it begins. ❤️

“So… what exactly IS a pot roast? 🤔🥩”

09/24/2026

One of the best parts of farming is getting to see the progress right in front of you. ❤️
Sometimes you get so caught up in the day-to-day work that you don't realize how much has changed until you stop and look around. This is one of those moments.
Growing our herd doesn't happen overnight. We still have a long way to go, but we're pretty proud of where we're headed. ❤️🐄

Remember when we said something new was coming to the Beef Shack? Well… here it is. ❤️
We’ve been doing a little fall decorating around the Shack—the corn stalks are finally up, the mums and pumpkins are out—but that’s not the only thing that’s new.
We’re bringing a little bit of our farm kitchen into the Beef Shack.
We’re putting together a collection of simple recipe cards—the kind of meals we actually make at home. Nothing fancy. Just good, hearty supper ideas using the beef you can find right here at the Shack.
And we’re starting with one of our favorites: SUNDAY POT ROAST!
Chuck roast, a few simple ingredients, the slow cooker, and supper pretty much takes care of itself. That’s our kind of recipe. 😂
This is just the first one. We’ll be adding more recipes to the collection, and they’ll be at the Beef Shack for you to take home.
Because sometimes the hardest part of making supper isn’t cooking it…
it’s figuring out what’s for supper. ❤️🥩

It’s starting. 🍂
A little red here. A little gold there. The first signs of fall are tucked in amongst all the green.

There’s just something about this time of year. Cooler evenings start creeping in, and before long, the meals we’ve been missing all summer start sounding pretty good again.

Slow-cooked roasts, beef stew, Sunday dinners, and those warm, hearty meals that make the house smell good before anyone even sits down at the table.

So while Vermont starts putting on its fall colors, we figured it’s about time we did a little fall decorating of our own at the Beef Shack. 🍁
Something new for fall is coming to the Beef Shack And we think you’re going to like it

And just like that… corn chopping season is here. 🌽🚜
We started chopping this week, which means some long days are ahead of us.
There’s a lot of work between an empty field in the spring and harvest time. Planting, growing, chopping—and plenty of hours and helping hands in between.

One of those helping hands is Gary, the guy behind the wheel of our chopper. But he certainly isn’t out there alone. With several trucks running back and forth from the field, it takes a crew to keep everything moving. You might even spot John behind the wheel of one of them. 👀❤️

We’re only getting started, but yesterday was a good start. And when this is the view from the field, it’s hard not to stop for a second and appreciate where we get to do it.
🌽👏Here’s to another corn harvest. 🌽
