Thelma's Down Home Country Cooking Rowan County's Best Soul Food! The beginning of a dream come true for Thelma Luckey was the day she opened her restaurant in The Salisbury Mall food court.

Right from the beginning on August 17, 2009 everyone wanted the comfort food "Just like Ma's!" Recently relocating to the larger space vacated by a sports bar, keeps Thelma's close to her beginning roots. Still at the Salisbury Mall, Thelma's has the same great food in a new location!!

We are happy to announce the Black Whales food truck will be at the Multicultural Festival Lexington on May 4th. We will do a limited menu of delicious smoked turkey legs, our signature burgers, our amazing cod fish sandwich plus sides and drinks. For dessert we will have ice cream available. Come out and see us.

We are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with The Black Whales Soulful Cuisine a rental food truck company that partners with local restaurants to bring their delicious food to the masses. We will be planning a Pop up really soon and would love to hear what you all would like Thelma to cook! Stay tuned in for more details about this event.
