Thank you, Salina. ❤️
I truly don’t even know how to put into words how grateful we are.
To be named a runner-up for Best Bakery in Salina after being open for only 10 months is absolutely wild. We are still just getting started, and somehow you all have already welcomed us, supported us, trusted us, and helped us get this far.
We get to come to work every day and make treats from scratch using fresh ingredients — and local ingredients whenever they’re available — for everything from “I just want a treat because I deserve one” to “our wedding is next year and we need a cake!” 😂🎂
And honestly, that’s what we love most. Getting to be a tiny part of your everyday moments, your celebrations, your milestones, and sometimes just your Thursday afternoon sweet tooth.
From the absolute bottom of our hearts, thank you.
We are so incredibly happy to be here, to be growing alongside this community, and to have the opportunity to keep serving you.
10 months in… and we’re just getting started. ❤️
Salina, you’ve been pretty damn good to us.

Meet the cake from my most demanding customer EVER. 😂
Ready for the story?
This customer demanded a TALL cake. And when I say tall, I mean “how tall can we physically make this thing without requiring a structural engineer?” tall.
So naturally… I made my first-ever 5-layer cake. 🎂
Then, after I made the cakes, this customer casually decided that chocolate cake just wasn’t going to cut it anymore.
He wanted CHOCOLATE FUNFETTI.
So obviously, because I love making this customer happy, I remade the cakes. 😂
Then came the filling dilemma.
He couldn’t decide on just one, so naturally we went with THREE:
🍫 Chocolate brownie
🍰 Cheesecake
🍪 Cookie dough
Because apparently one filling is for amateurs.
I’ll get more into the design process later and continue this absolutely ridiculous cake story, but let me just say…
Gosh darn it, this cake about did me IN. 😂
And yes, before you ask… the demanding customer was my newly 7-year-old son. 🥴

Today was an absolute whirlwind — and if you stopped by the shop and I wasn’t there, this is why. 😂
Today was all about celebrating our baby boy… although, I’m not really sure we can call him a baby anymore because HOW is he turning 7?! 😭
His day was packed full of all the things he loves, surrounded by some pretty amazing people who came out to celebrate him and make his day extra special.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, celebrated with us, loved on our not-so-little guy, and helped make his birthday one he’ll remember. ❤️
Now excuse me while I go stare at baby pictures and wonder where the heck the last 7 years went. 🥹

Today is always a special day for our family. ❤️
Fe for the Cure is the one race we all run together, and every year, we run it for Grandpa.
Cancer is a bitch. There’s no sugarcoating it. But days like today remind us why coming together matters. This event supports the Tammy Walker Cancer Center and the patients and families walking through some of the hardest days of their lives.
So today, if you ran the race, bring your race bib into the bakery and get 10% off your order!
A little treat for putting in the miles and showing up for those who are still fighting the fight.
Thank you for running. Thank you for supporting. And thank you for being part of something that means so much to so many. ❤️
Now come get yourself a damn cupcake. You earned it.

Beginning-of-the-week fit check.
You can’t ignore the hustle it takes to get here. The early mornings, the long days, the flour everywhere, the caffeine holding the whole operation together… 😮‍💨
But we showed up, we’re locked in, and we’ve got the sweets coming.
Now let’s get this week baking

Restart. Reset. Refocus.
There is always time to take a little time for you. To learn something new, try something outside your comfort zone, make mistakes, laugh at yourself, and just enjoy the process.
Lately, I’ve discovered that I really, REALLY love to paint. And honestly, I have to give a huge thank you to Meghan Hessman with Sunflower Follies for bringing that out in me.
It’s only my second class, but I’m already hooked. There is just something about sitting down with a paintbrush, getting completely lost in what I’m doing, and forgetting about everything else for a little while.
Running a business comes with a LOT of stress, responsibilities, decisions, and demands. Sometimes you don’t realize how badly you need an escape until you finally give yourself permission to have one.
For two hours, I get to stop thinking about the bakery, the never-ending to-do list, and everything else life is throwing at me. I get to just… paint.
And even if it’s only two hours, it has become an amazing little escape that genuinely brings me joy.
So here’s your reminder: take the time. Try the thing. Make the ugly first attempt. Learn something new. Do something that has absolutely nothing to do with work.
You might just find something you love. 🤍

Feast on the Fe
Quite possibly my favorite event in Salina—and honestly, I think it’s because this night is such a beautiful reminder of what community can look like.
Local chefs, bakers, farmers, artisans, organizations, volunteers, and community members all coming together around one table. Food grown by local farmers, created by local hands, shared with our community, and all for a cause that directly supports the people who help keep our local food system thriving.
This is the kind of thing I believe in wholeheartedly. Supporting local farmers and food producers, celebrating the incredible talent we have right here in our community, and making sure the people who pour so much into Salina feel that support coming back to them.
I cannot praise the Local Food Works Foundation enough for making this happen year after year. It takes an incredible amount of work, heart, and people behind the scenes to pull off a night like this, and I am so honored that I got to be a tiny part of it this year.
Thank you to every organizer, volunteer, farmer, chef, baker, artisan, organization, and community member who makes this night what it is.
This is Salina at its best. This is community. And I’m damn proud to be a small part of it. ❤️

The yeast is YEASTNG this morning. Holy. COW. 😂
Getting some early morning hours in so I can get this MASSIVE order of rolls done for one of my absolute favorite events that Salina Downtown puts on!
We’ve got a LOT of dough happening over here, and my kitchen currently smells like heaven. So if you’re heading to the event, come find me and say hi! I’d love to see your faces!
Now back to me and approximately 500 rolls. 😂

LOCKED. IN. FOCUSED. AND BAKING LIKE MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.
We are officially booked SOLID for custom orders for the next 5–6 weeks, which is absolutely wild and I am so dang grateful.
Now… if you have something special coming up and you’re thinking, “Crap, I’m probably too late,” COME TALK TO ME DIRECTLY. Lord knows I may find a way to squeeze you in because apparently I have a problem saying no.
BUT — we are also approaching the holiday season at an alarming rate, and if you have a birthday, celebration, holiday party, work event, family gathering, or literally any excuse to need cake… PLEASE GET YOUR ORDERS IN NOW.
The holidays fill up FAST. Like, blink-and-I’m-booked-fast.
That’s all. Back to the kitchen I go
