While I am not “back in business”, I had the opportunity to make a cake to auction off at a benefit and I can’t think of a better reason!

My friend’s son was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition (Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation). Some of these kids don't make it past their first year of life and many that do never walk or talk. Most face significant neurologic issues, developmental delays and serious complications with their organs.

The fundraiser is tonight at the Buffalo Ridge Brewing Project in Hartford.
All funds raised will go towards finding treatments for these children as there are no FDA approved treatments for them at this time.

Had the pleasure of making my nephew’s birthday cake this past weekend. These opportunities always solidify two things for me:
1. I LOVE making cakes
2. I am not ready to open my business

So much time goes into planning, shopping, baking, decorating, and cleaning for each cake. I simply do not have the time with 5 small humans running around.

I appreciate all of those that have inquired recently and hope to still have your business when I am able to open back up!

Hope everyone has been enjoying their start to summer! We’ve been busy busy over here with summer trips and activities. While making my daughter’s birthday cake this week, I realized I haven’t shared a cake picture in a while.
