THE FINAL DAY AT THE FAIR!!!!!!! 🥹❤️

Thank goodness for the hidden treasures we found buried in the freezer under the ice packs because we were NOT ready to be done yet! Our menu started off strong Sunday morning and quickly disappeared as items slowly kept selling out. At 6pm all we had were a handful of cheese empanadas and some freshly squeezed limeade.

And just like that…

OUR FREEZERS ARE EMPTY.
OUR HEARTS ARE FULL. ❤️

Four days of nonstop lines, sellouts, restocks, tags, shares, vendor friends, familiar faces and so many repeat customers who came back again and again.

We are exhausted. We are grateful. And we are feeling ALL the love.

Thank you, Deerfield Fair, for another unforgettable year. 🥹

DAY 3 WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANE 🤯🔥

Our first customers of the day were Jen and her friends, and now it’s time for a little Day 3 recap!

Nothing tells us how much you love us quite like SELLING OUT on day three! 🥹❤️

Yesterday was completely WILD. We honestly lost count of how many times we had to update the menu board because items were selling out ALL. DAY. LONG.

By the end of the night, we were down to just 10 chicken empanadas… and those quickly sold out a little after 9 PM.

And just like that… WE WERE COMPLETELY WIPED OUT. 😳

Today is the LAST DAY of the Deerfield Fair.

If you’re planning to come see us today, come earlier rather than later. Based on the last few days, we fully expect to sell out again. 👀

And a huge shoutout to Ryan from Crazy Dreamers for stopping by the Deerfield Fair, checking us out, and giving us his honest review of our food! 🙌

DAY 2 AT THE FAIR & LOOK WHO SHOWED UP FIRST! 🥹😂

This morning we hear, “Am I the first?!”

And here comes Silas from Dark Moon Farm around the corner! 😂

Our first customer of Day 2 AND our official beefy cheese + extra Colombian hot sauce boy! 🥟🌶️

This young boy has been coming to our food truck for as long as we can remember, and now he’s almost taller than Rosa! 😭🤣

Watching our little customers grow up with us is one of the coolest parts of doing what we do. ❤️

Here’s to another day of empanadas, hot sauce, and fair traditions! 🎡🥟

Thursday was WILD. 😂

Not only did we break our own record and SELL OUT of empanadas… after a MIDDAY RESTOCK?! HOW?! 🤯

But we also broke a TV. 🥴 Yup. A whole TV.

Not even an hour into opening, our TV suddenly started glitching… and then just STOPPED working. Meanwhile, Alex was working the fair solo with a steady line, and there was little Rosa running around carrying a TV bigger than she is. 😂📺

Because apparently selling empanadas wasn’t enough for one day. We needed a side quest. 🤣

Huge shoutout to No Pain No Grain for helping us get a replacement TV so we could keep things moving. ❤️

And most importantly… THANK YOU. 🫶
Thank you to every single person who came out, waited in line, grabbed empanadas, came back for more, and helped us kick off the fair season with a bang.

Day 1: SOLD OUT + BROKEN TV.
I’d say it was a success. 😂

🎡 DEERFIELD FAIR TIPS YOU’LL WANT TO SAVE….. AND GIVEAWAY! 🎡🏆

Heading to the Deerfield Fair this weekend? Here are a few things we’ve learned after 4 years of being vendors 👇

📱 1. Bring CASH!
When the fair gets REALLY busy, cell service can get overwhelmed and towers can go down. Don’t count on being able to use your phone for everything. Having cash on hand can save you a headache!

🎟️ 2. Download your ticket BEFORE you arrive.
Don’t rely on having service at the gate. Screenshot it or save it to your phone ahead of time.

🚗 3. TAKE A PICTURE WHERE YOU PARKED.
Trust us 😂 After a long day walking around the fair, everything starts looking the same. Take a quick picture of your parking spot AND the entrance you came through. Future you will thank you!

⏰ 4. Thursday & Friday are generally the two less-busy days.
The fair is open 8 AM–10 PM, so if you want a little more breathing room, consider coming earlier in the weekend. (Sunday shorter hours)

🌾 5. ALLERGEN REMINDER!
If you have celiac disease or a serious food allergy, ASK QUESTIONS before ordering.

Double check whether food is being cooked in a dedicated fryer and ask about cross contact.

At Empanadas Deluxe, our gluten free empanadas are fried in a dedicated fryer with separate equipment. 🙌
