Golf Car Living Features Salado!
More than six months ago, William and I had the pleasure of meeting Brian Gillman, founder of Golf Car Living, when he stopped by The Shed for lunch during a visit to Salado. What began as a casual conversation quickly turned into a great friendship and an opportunity to share the story of our Village.
We spent the day showing Brian around our beautiful community, introducing him to the places, businesses, and people that make Salado so special. After experiencing firsthand what we often call "The Salado Way," he decided that our Village would be featured in an upcoming episode of Golf Car Living. A few months later, he returned with his film crew to capture the sights, stories, and spirit of Salado.
I want to sincerely thank everyone who helped make this episode possible. From business owners and residents to community leaders and volunteers, your support and hospitality helped showcase the very best of our hometown.
What I appreciate most about the episode is that it is not just about golf car living. It highlights the things we as residents sometimes take for granted: our walkable and golf-cart-friendly community, the beauty of Salado Creek, our historic Main Street, unique local businesses, and the welcoming atmosphere that makes people feel at home from the moment they arrive. The episode also captures something even more important: the people of Salado. As Brian points out, it is the people who truly make this community extraordinary.
We are incredibly blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Salado is more than a destination; it is a way of life built on community, hospitality, and genuine connections. Brian and his team did a wonderful job of bringing that story to life.
