It seems like nearly every car that comes through has been asking us for weeks why we're not open yet, why the building took so long to arrive, or what's taking so long to get everything finished.
So I wanted to address that a little.
It's been a very long, tearful, and exteemely difficult road getting here. Unfortunately, our experience with the building company we chose has been incredibly disappointing, to put it mildly. While we should be using our time and funds to be getting ready to open we are instead fixing broken and missing things.
I'm not sharing this to complain or speak poorly. That's not where our hearts are. But with so many people asking, I think it's important to be open about why things have taken so so long.
I'm not going to get into all the details publicly, but I do want people to understand that the delays haven't been for lack of effort on our part. And if you're considering a building company or a similar project and would like to know about our experience with the company we hired, we're more than willing to share that information privately.
What started as such an exciting dream has, at times, felt like it's slowly breaking us.
But we keep getting up, figuring out the next new problem, and doing everything we can to move forward.
Nobody wants those windows open more than we do. We've invested so much of ourselves into this little business, and we want nothing more than to finally see it all come together.
Tonight, we got to hang our sign.
And for a few minutes we had a WIN!!!
We desperately needed it.
We got to stand back and appreciate one more little piece of this dream becoming a reality.
We're tired. We're overwhelmed. We're running on a whole lot of caffeine and prayer these days.
And through every single bit of it, I'm so thankful to have this man beside me. I don't know how Id be getting through any of this without him.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us, encourage us, pray for us, and be patient with us. It means more than you know. ♡
