Awesome w**es, Tapas menu, and innovative cocktails. Ask any local food service professional where they go out, when they go out, and chances are the answer will be, “Delaney’s.” In this relaxed, comfortable, intimate bistro which is not too formal—nor too casual—food and w**e are the stars. They are both under the inspired direction of Chef Tom Delaney whose philosophy is pretty straightforward: “I cook what I like.” The Chef refers to his menu as “earthy stuff.” “We are at the beach,” he explains. You will find fish as well as game, lamb, and meat all expertly prepared with traditional techniques and the freshest, best ingredients. Pairing is a Delaney specialty. “Some of the match-ups with the food and w**e will blow you away,” he modestly proffered. “I like w**e—that is my inspiration.” One never knows what may be concocted back in the kitchen. A recent offering was chocolate soup (yes, chocolate soup) topped with hazelnut cream. With over 30 years on St. Simons, Chef Tom explained, “We love the people here. We have great customers, and we get to know them!” Come join the local regulars who return again and again to experience the best cuisine the Golden Isles has to offer. We accept, and recommend reservations for both lunch and dinner service. Reservations are call-in only.
