From the region of Tarrazú, producers in this Central Valley often grow traditional hybrids and apply some of Costa Rica’s most forward-thinking processing techniques. Costa Rica was the first Central American country to fully establish a coffee industry. Tarrazú might be the most famous of the regions- its high altitudes contribute to its coffees’ crisp acidity.
