Once again Aesop's has been fortunate enough to be asked back by the North St Paul VFW to do the corned beef and cabbage. We will be serving from. Noon to ? On Monday the 17th. We make 200 orders and when its out it's out.

As I watch and read things that have transpired after the assassination attempt on our former president, my heart and soul ache at the disgusting things that people I love are saying! I don't care what you think about Trump. If you are a normal human being, you should have empathy if not for our past president, at least for the people who were killed!!! I understand that some of you have been lied to and still believe these lies, but two people lost their lives, and several others were injured. I'm talking to all of you who have said horrible things and degraded the severity of what happened! One of which was a father who threw himself over his mother and daughter to save their lives! Now is not the time to spew the political rhetoric!!! Now is the time to look at what is happening to us as a people and have simpathy, compassion, and love for each other. I read some of the things that people I love are spewing, and it makes me physically ill!. You are people that I would throw myself on to save your life and yet you write such hate and evil things. Write what you have to, to get the evil out of you, but then read it and delete it. This kind of hate and evil is what made a very sick individual kill an innocent man and get himself killed. I will say a prayer for you so the evil can be lifted from your hearts. GOD LOVES YOU!!! He wants us all to be happy!!! So stop spreading evil thoughts!!! Try to SMILE IT'S CONTAGIOUS SO SPREAD IT!!!

There are so many things in life that you just don't know. As a civilization, we depend on our fellow human beings to have our backs. We depend on our laws and the Constitution to keep us safe and for most of us to keep us honest. I do not care what you are or what your politics are or your religion! I only care if you do your job, if you make enough money to take care of yourself, if you are a good person that holds a door for a stranger if their hands are full, if you would help someone even when it is inconvenient for you. These are the kind of people you want to surround yourself with. These are the kind of people who have our backs. These are the kind of people you call as a last resort because they do so much you don't want to ask them unless it's absolutely because you need help. These are the kind of people you want to become! Right now, our country is lost. We need to fix it. We need to because our government is broken, our media is broken, our hearts and a lot of our souls are broken. Be the solution, not the problem, and SMILE THEY'RE CONTAGIOUS SO SPREAD THEM!!!

This post has nothing to do with food or my business.
It does however have to do with my hart and our collective humanity.
This picture is of Sara and Cole.
Sara was my North Wind Princess back in 2011when I was a Vulcan. When you are a volunteer with a group of people for an entire year they become family. This young beautiful couple just started their lives together when Cole was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma an incurable cancer but treatable. As you can imagine it will be extremely expensive and with Cole not able to work they will be down to 1 income. Please follow the link and give what you can to help and share this post.

I have been cooking for 39 years. I started my first job in the food business at 10 years old, for my dad doing dishes at Chippewa Lodge. Got my first job outside the family at 13 as a bus boy at Ol' Mexico and at 16 I was a line cook. At 17 went back to the family business my step dad and mom started, which is Aesop's at 33 Donna and I bought Aesop's. I tell you this because I want you to know when it comes to food it's perfect or it doesn't get served.
I've been cooking this corned beef and cabbage recipe for 37 years, you will not find it better than this anywhere else.

So exciting! Tomorrow is the day we find out how much people really want change.
I would like to thank all of the people who helped. It blew me away how much people stepped up to volunteer. No matter how the vote goes, I am so proud to be part of South Washington County, where all of you kind and wonderful people live!

A spider builds a web to catch food. A politician and our government agencies build very elaborate webs of deceit, to catch us, and devide us. Because if we are devided, hearts filled with hate/anger, and confused we are easier to control.

Anthony Mahmood for District 833 School Board

I'm not a mean or vindictive person, I make friends wherever I go. So when people I've never met start to say how bad of a person I am. It leaves me to believe they are scared and need some help in understanding how civilized human beings behave and interact.
I truly appreciate the differences that we all bring to the table. We don't have to hate each other because we have different ideas on how to accomplish a common goal. We need to embrace our differences and work together on the task before us. Which is to educate our children and prepare them for the harsh realities of life.
Jaime for Schools, Ryan C. for District 833 and myself Anthony Mahmood will do everything we possibly can, to arm our teacher with as many tools that are available. When you meet someone that is different from you, don't focus on those differences focus on what you have in common and use your differences to help undestand the solution to your common problems.
