After having her life torn apart by the war, she was given a chance to restart everything in the United States. Kunrath realized she had an opportunity to bring a little bit of Cambodia to her new home and she wanted to share her passion with the community that welcomed her, so she opened up Cheng Heng Restaurant along with her husband and family. Cheng Heng has always been a traditional family restaurant from the chefs to the waitresses to Kunrath's children running around.
