Crasqui Restaurant

Crasqui Restaurant Author Recipes by Chef Soleil Ramirez
Venezuelan roots + Spanish influence

The idea of Crasqui Restaurant is to walk all my guests into a time travel palate experience from one state to another and really understand how Venezuelan cuisine was born, with a fresh, elegant, and delicate touch. All the dishes on the menu are based on authentic ingredients, memories, and histories from my family and friends. My recipes are inspired by my grandma, my mom, my dad, my best frien

d, my cousins, and all the places I had the pleasure to visit when I was younger, and I can say I know my country pretty well; I have been a little obsessed to understand how our gastronomy was build and all the incredible flavors we have to offer. That is Crasqui, an island in the Caribbean Ocean, a place of dreams, peace, and love….

I am beyond blessed to be a part of this casual summer "potluck" with some of the Twin Cities' most celebrated female chefs & bartenders!

We’re raising funds and awareness for women’s rights on September 13th at Hai Hai in Minneapolis.

Your ticket purchase will get you access to delicious potluck offerings, served lunch lady-style from 16 fem chefs. Your drink tickets can be used towards beer, wine, or cocktails/mocktails made by 9 local female bartenders or to experience their famous Uterus Luge.

This event always sells out. Please, don’t wait until the last minute because I won’t be able to help you out!

Special guests for Chef’s Kiss includes:
Stephanie Izard (Girl & The Goat in Chicago & LA)

🎡🫓 THE STATE FAIR FAVORITE IS BACK!

📅 Starting Wednesday, September 2
📍 ONLY at the Crasqui bar | Wed–Sun
🔥 Pernil Arepa: Venezuelan pulled pork + cheddar cheese + crunchy slaw
🍋 Served with a Papelón con Limón

Our sister business Arepa Bar served this beauty at the Minnesota State Fair in 2022 & 2023 — and it became our BESTSELLER. 👑

We may not be at the Fair this year… but the arepa said she wanted to make a comeback. 😂🎡 So we’re bringing a little State Fair nostalgia to Crasqui! 🇻🇪❤️

Arepa Bar Arepa Bar LLC is now our catering business, and we couldn’t be prouder of our big sister. 🥹 Come to the bar, grab the OG favorite, sip your Papelón con Limón and pretend you walked 14,000 State Fair steps to earn it. 😂

We love the Toast & Taste fundraiser held at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum!!

Dozens of local restaurants and regional drink makers come to raise funds & celebrate fresh cuisine.

All the proceeds directly support the Arboretum's public gardens, educational initiatives, and environmental programs. 🩵

It was our 6th year participating and the best one yet.

The event was held July 22nd, 2026, but we're still basking in the joy of the event today! 🌴

Have you tried our Trio de Arepitas? This appetizer has THREE different styles of mini-arepas -- shredded beef, pork, and black bean! It’s perfect for sharing…or not.

And, yes, this is the same vegan arepa that Arepa Bar had at the State Fair! (Different from our vegan challenge option!) This sampler size allows you to find out which is your favorite and then come back on Sunday for a full size arepa from our traditional venezuelan brunch menu.

This dish is gluten free and soy free!

☀️Enjoy this dish on our patio or in our ocean themed dining room located across the street from Harriet Island Park in West St. Paul! 🏝️

Kinda chic to eat at Crasqui.

Crasqui embodies Soleil's vision, with dishes inspired by her Venezuelan roots, travels, family, and the flavors she remembers from home. Each creation is a tribute to her memories and the vibrant places she visited in Venezuela. Crasqui is one of the few Venezuelan fine-dining experiences in the United States and proudly houses the only Venezuelan Rum Bar in the entire Midwest.

We put just as much love into our NA drinks as we do our cocktails! We feature signature, made-in-house drinks as well as local NA beers, and my favorite sodas from back home in Venezuela.

It's hard to choose with so many great options! Be sure to chat with your server or bartender about which flavor profile - spicy, sweet, tart -- you're looking for!

Crasqui is a lively Venezuelan restaurant in West St. Paul. Come visit us soon.

A long time favorite for our guests -- Rompe Colchón

The name of this dish translate loosely to "break the bed"....because we all know what people say about seafood. This appetizer features 5oz of Argentinean shrimp, pineapple-habanero leche de tigre, red onion, cilantro, and casabitos on the side! Casabitos are a gluten free cracker that we make in house.

Does your date get turned on by a good deal too? Get 8% OFF in your bill when you pay the entire bill with cash! It doesn't get much better than that!

Today we celebrate THREE years of Crasqui Restaurant. This journey has been filled with ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Today, we celebrate the wins. We celebrate the recognition. We celebrate the food. We celebrate.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this dream a reality.
