For Suzie, El Burrito Mercado has been a second home since she was a little girl. ❤️
This National Women’s Small Business Month, we’re celebrating Suzanne Silva, affectionately known as Suzie—the youngest of the Silva siblings! She was just three years old when our parents’ journey with El Burrito Mercado began, and she still treasures memories of playing with her sister and brother in the basement and backstock areas of the business.

While raising five children, Suzie worked part time for much of those busy years, balancing motherhood with roles ranging from manager on duty and administration for El Burrito Mercado to wholesale sales and administration back in the day. As her family grew, her connection to the business remained a constant.

Today, she proudly co-owns El Burrito Mercado alongside her older sister, Milissa, and her daughter, Analita—two generations of women carrying forward our family’s love for Mexican food, culture, and community. 🇲🇽
