The Village of Saint Paris would like to share a special event with our community.

Please join us for the dedication ceremony of Thornton Memorial Park on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. The park is located at 126 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris, Ohio.

All are welcome as we honor Dale Thornton and remember Michael Thornton, celebrating their lives, their service, and the lasting legacy they have left in the Saint Paris community.

The dedication will include a Champaign County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting, guest speakers, special performances, the unveiling of the memorial plaque, and refreshments at Whitman’s Bike Shop.

We invite the entire community to join us for this meaningful afternoon of remembrance and celebration as we honor two individuals who have made a lasting impact on Saint Paris.

I had hoped I would not have to address this subject again but I guess there are people who still consider me some horrible person. I have been blocked on pages that I have never ever said or done anything for that to happen. All I have done is support some of the people I got to know in this Village. Again it was over 4 years ago that I opened a tiny little cafe in the Village, I met some wonderful people and truly enjoyed my time there, and am very thankful and grateful to all that supported us. I was unable to continue because of medical issues so I had to close. So now many years later I have to defend myself against people I know and people who have never met me. It is truly sad that I need to do this. I will be frank and straightforward… I do not now or ever, have I had any business connections with any businesses in the Village of St Paris except for my tiny Cafe. I don’t live there, I don’t work there in fact I can’t go there. So whoever thinks they know this “family” and think I cause issues for others & their businesses, well you don’t know me or my life. If you did you would know that we stay to our selves, I am almost 70 years old and in a wheelchair, I have spent those years fighting my own health battles. I would suggest that you keep your gossiping in check and don’t hide behind your page, that you blocked me from. If you have questions please feel free to contact me before you make untrue accusations. Again I am sorry this needed to written, it certainly is not what I want to spend my time doing. But I guess if you are talking about me you are leaving some other person alone. Thank you for reading this and I love you all because only love wins in the end.❤️
