Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer. Silver Beach County Park is open every day, all year long. ☀️

The restroom facilities at the park will be open during daylight hours through October. 🚽

Pay to Park will be weekends only (Fri-Sun) after Labor Day until the end of September. 🅿️

Lots of history at Silver Beach County Park!!!🎉🥳🥇

Did you know the original Silver beach Amusement Park was home to some incredible roller coasters?

From 1905 to 1923, the park's star attraction was the Chase Through the Clouds, a popular wooden coaster also known as the Figure 8. Chase through the Clouds was then replaced by another legendary ride, the Velvet Coaster. Opening in summer 1923, the Velvet Coaster was a giant in its time and offered more speed, twists and stomach-dropping dips. It was a classic wood coaster that later received a new name, becoming known to generations of riders simply as The Comet.

This coaster continued to thrill visitors for decades, carrying on the park's tradition of excitement until the amusement park closed in 1972.
