Hey SJ. With a heavy heart we have to announce that after this week we will be closing El Camino. Nothing could have prepared us for the heartbreak of an empty restaurant after the last 10 years that we’ve owned and operated, and after collectively, nearly 44 years of family ownership. Since Last January we’ve had a major decrease in traffic and the customer base dropped significantly. The cost of food, supplies and utilities have gone up an astronomical amount this year in particular. Inflation and tariff costs that our brands and distributors incurred are then passed along to us. Even though our prices had to move up like everyone else, we tried our best to keep them at a place where a family could come in to eat and be served at a reasonable cost. Unfortunately far too many people in our region are struggling to afford the things they need and this is the worst we’ve seen that in any other year during our ownership. We hope that this may not be a permanent closure but we won’t know that for some time. Our last day of operation will be this Friday, December 19th 2025. We thank all of our supporters, especially our beloved regulars, friends and family… you know who you are. We hope to see you all again. We love you, SJ. 🤎🌮
