Something special is happening at Leslie’s Table. 💚

What started as a simple gluten-free tasting event has become something much bigger.

People are traveling from all over Northeast Florida. Friendships are being formed. Stories are being shared. Foods that many guests haven’t safely enjoyed in years are finding their way back onto the table.

And perhaps our favorite part: the spirit of paying it forward continues to grow with every event.

July 26th is our next Leslie’s Table, and we couldn’t be more excited to gather with all of you again. 🥟✨

Some People Don’t Need Many Words

Nancy’s parents arrived home safely in China this week after spending three months with us here in Florida.

If you’ve visited One Third recently, you may remember seeing them sitting near the front of the restaurant.

They didn’t speak much English.

But almost every guest was greeted the same way — with a smile.

Over time, they became a familiar sight. Many of our regulars would wave, smile back, or stop for a quick hello. Children would often catch their attention. Some guests probably never exchanged a word with them at all.

Yet somehow, they made our restaurant feel a little warmer.

It’s a reminder that hospitality isn’t always about words.

Sometimes it’s a smile.

Sometimes it’s kindness.

Sometimes it’s simply making people feel welcome.

As a family-owned restaurant, we’re grateful they had the chance to be part of our daily life here at One Third, and we’re grateful to all of you for making them feel at home.

The front corner of the restaurant feels a little quieter now.

But the memories they leave behind will stay with us for a long time.

What started as a small gluten-free tasting event has grown into something truly special—a room full of people sharing stories, discovering foods they haven't safely enjoyed in years, and building a community around the table.

Family means everything to us. ❤️

Over the past 3 months, Nancy’s parents have been visiting us from China and spending precious time with our family here in Florida.

During their visit, we shared many special memories together — including a family trip to Washington DC and New York. But one photo feels especially meaningful to us: standing together in front of the One Third sign.

Because behind every small family business is exactly that — family.

Next Tuesday, we’ll be traveling to New York to send them off as they return home to China.

For many immigrant families, moments like these carry extra meaning. Time together is precious, and goodbyes are never easy.

Because of this family trip, One Third Asian House will open at 3 PM on Wednesday instead of 11 AM.

Thank you for supporting our small family business and allowing us the opportunity to cherish moments like these. ❤️

As we continue planning future Leslie’s Table experiences, one idea that’s been close to our hearts is creating a table centered around families with young gluten-free children ❤️

Over the past few months, we’ve met so many parents who shared how difficult it can be to find places where their kids can safely enjoy foods that other children often take for granted.

That really means something to us.

We’re beginning to explore a future Leslie’s Table designed to bring families together around foods kids miss, moments they remember, and experiences that simply feel… normal again.
