Hi, it’s Friday. I’ve been having a terrible time keeping up with daily posting, especially with getting it done in the morning. Apologies.

We are here Wednesday-Friday cooking our full menu, even if I’m not on social media posting about it.

This evening our special is a grazing board with some new things I’m trying out for holiday menus and gifts: spicy summer sausage, turkey salami, really good cheese.

My desserts got slightly out of hand this morning:
Espresso brownies
Salted caramel brownies
Italian cream cake blondies
Blueberry cobbler
Berries and cherries cobbler
Molasses cookies
Snickerdoodles
Rainbow snickerdoodles
Chocolate chip cookies

Holy crap (y’all know that’s totally how I sound) tomorrow’s October!

We’ve got tons of fall goodies arriving in the deli. Come tell me what you think.

Fall hours are sticking around:
Wednesday & Sunday 9-3
Thursday 9-7
Friday & Saturday 9-9
Lunch starts at 11 every day

Specials:
Thursday: the club sticks around for 1 more day
Friday: appetizer special with some of the new summer sausage and salami we’re trying out for fall
Saturday: our own Triple R Ranch ribeyes with baked potatoes
Sunday: soup and salad!

Our everyday menu is nothing to turn your nose up at, either. I once had someone tell me they’d have one of these BLT’s for their last meal. To each his own, I reckon. I’d at least wait for tomato season.

We’re open until 9pm

Throw back club sandwiches for the lunch special today: neighbors mill bronze honey wheat, house smoked ham, turkey, bacon, Colby jack, and Swiss, and of course mayo, lettuce, tomato.

I’ve got short ribs braising in the roasting oven for dinner, they should be ready about 5. I’ll add new potatoes and carrots to those this afternoon and serve them with some grilled sourdough to sop up the juice.

You know what you want for lunch today? A Muriel Star! The sandwich is our smoked pork loin and cheddar with housemade bbq sauce on a butter grilled hoagie. The lettuce and sweet pickles come on the side but you should really shove them in there for best results.

The daughter is a graphic designer with a beautiful family “successfully adulting” out there in the real world.

Come see us today (Friday) from 9-9. The kitchen opens at 11 (bakery, gift shop, deli before) and I’ll update you on dinner specials later 😅

Today we’re wishing a big, loud, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the indomitable Joe Jones!

He’s down for whatever I’m plotting and is always there to help. He has put up with me for over a decade and a half, if you can believe it. He’s got great dad jokes, but now they’re grandpa jokes.

It’s fixed guys. Our online order system is working. This is brand new to us, and to y’all. There will be glitches. We might run out of something and be unable to mark it out before you order, and if that happens we will call you.

Happy Sunday, everybody! It’s the last Sunday of summer (✨manifesting✨). But really, it’s the last one of the calendar year.

We don’t have an additional special, but we’re encouraging you to order the hash for lunch today. It’s brunch-y: a skillet of new potatoes, onion, mushrooms, and Ozark sausages sautéed with garlic and thyme, served with butter-grilled toast.

We have the rest of menu, too, of course.

I added this fudge cake to the dessert case (it’s dairy-free!) and restocked the cookies.

Y’all come have some lunch with us until 3 today!
