Maybe you remember our delightful cucumber salad from a few years ago? Named after a Kaiju from Northern Japan where Chef Taka-san is from, our Kappa Salad (河童サラダ) is a small salad made from cucumbers, marinated in sauce and topped with sesame seeds. We even add a tiny set of chopsticks (toothpicks)!! We can't promise, but it just *might* protect you from Kappa in Fukushima 😆 Give it a try and let us know!

What more could you ask for on a beautiful hot day than cold tantanmen noodles? We put either our karaage chicken or a spicy pork on top of chilled ramen noodles and add cucumber, tomato, and ginger. Then you pour our house sesame-soy soup (cold of course!) on top, mix it up, and enjoy! (Don't forget, it's for a limited time!)

And don't forget we just started our new MINI bento size for kids: two pieces of crunchy karaage chicken, smaller rice and salad portions, just perfect for the little eaters in your life.

Kaiju Kitchen will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th for Independence Day fireworks🎇 Join a celebration at the many locations in Vermont and have a safe and fun 4th!

We will open on July 8th with a NEW noodle dish and a new MINI-sized bento (for kids and folks who want a smaller portion). Due to rising costs, we will be adjusting some of the prices on our menu. Please reach out with questions and we will see you next week 🎆

We hope you are excited for the 2026 Maple Festival, right here in beautiful St Albans, this coming Thursday through Sunday. We will be open for regular dining during our usual business hours (Wed-Sat, 11-2 and 4-6). During the festival you may wan to try our Original Aurora Maple Sauce which won us the Maple Festival Diners Choice Award in 2023 -- come try a side with karaage chicken, curry, or katsudon. We also have fun sweet and savory snacks, beverages from Japan, and various desserts. Something for everyone!

Oh and we can't forget to mention the delicious Happy Turn rice crackers we got shipped from Japan at last! Guys, they are covered in what can only be called "Happy Powder" (no, really, in Japanese it's written ハッピーパウダー!!) and they are awesome but only while we have stock.
