A Family, A Dream, A Legacy
In 2008, Eric and Angela Saenz opened a restaurant with a simple but heartfelt vision: to serve the best chips and salsa and the best margaritas this side of the Rio Grande.
With their minds, hearts, and passion united, Eric and Angela built El Paso Grill LLC—a dream that quickly became so much more than a restaurant. With the unwavering love and support of their family, that dream grew into a legacy.
In 2016, Italia Cocina Familia was born, expanding not only their business, but their family’s place within the Saginaw Township community they have proudly called home.
For almost two decades, we have had the privilege of raising our family alongside the families of this community. We have watched our local children grow, many of whom once walked through our doors and later walked through the halls of the Saginaw Township school system. Today, those same children have graduated, built lives of their own, and even ventured across the country and around the world.
And perhaps the most meaningful part of our journey is watching our own children become part of the legacy we worked so hard to build.
Our daughter, Amanda, now manages and owns El Paso Grill, carrying forward the traditions, values, and love that started it all back in 2010.
As we approach our retirement years, we do so with full hearts and an overwhelming sense of gratitude. What began as a dream between two people became a family business, a community, and a lifetime of memories.
We are incredibly proud of what we have built, but even more proud of the family who will carry it forward.
With great pride and even greater love, we look forward to someday passing the reins to our daughter and watching her continue the legacy that began with nothing more than a dream, a lot of hard work, and a whole lot of heart.
Thank you, Saginaw Township, for allowing us to be a part of your family for all these years. ❤️
