A staple in the Sacramento restaurant scene for over 20 years, Centro Cocina Mexicana offers regional Mexican cuisine in a festive and colorful atmosphere.
(1056)

Executive Chef Kurt Spataro spent a great deal of time in the kitchens of Mexico, and credits regional guru Diane Kennedy with some of the menu’s inspiration. Choose from an extensive selection of appetizers, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fresh fish, grilled meats, poultry and housemade desserts. All ingredients are prepared fresh daily, which is apparent in the quality and flavor of each dish served. The full service bar has more than 300 brands of tequila, as well as several fresh fruit-infused tequilas that change seasonally. Located on the bustling corner of 28th & J Streets, Centro has remained one of the best midtown Sacramento restaurants due to its commitment to fresh, authentic cuisine, its extensive list of tequilas (150 and counting) and margaritas and the friendly, energetic staff.

A little tart, a little sweet, and impossibly creamy. Lemon & lime custard with coconut-almond crumble, the kind of dessert you order “just to share” and end up finishing yourself.
