It’s hard to believe that after 13½ incredible years, we are writing this message. Willie J’s Burgers and More has been more than a restaurant to us, it has been our second home, our livelihood, and a place built with love for the community we are proud to be part of.
We have recently sold the business, and while this is a bittersweet step for our family, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our customers, many of whom have become dear friends over the years.
The new owners will be bringing their own restaurant concept to this space, and we truly hope you will support them the same way you have supported us. This community has an incredible way of lifting up the people who serve it.
When we opened Willie J’s, our son was just six weeks old. Two years later, our daughter was born. You watched our family grow right alongside yours. We’ve seen kids who were in high school when we first opened now walk through our doors with children of their own — a full-circle moment we will always treasure. One of our proudest additions to Willie J’s was the patio — something Willie poured his blood, sweat, and tears into building. From the play structure to the basketball court, it was created as a place for families to gather, kids to play, and the community to simply be together. Watching you all enjoy that space over the years has meant more to us than we can put into words.
This community has also shown up for us in ways we will never forget — especially during difficult times. Your kindness, encouragement, and loyalty reminded us exactly why we built Willie J’s: because we are part of this community, and this community is part of us.
We would love the chance to see you all and allow us to serve you one last time. Please join us on Saturday, 2/21, for an open house at Willie J’s. We’ll have our bounce house up on the patio so the kids can play, and we can all spend time together sharing memories, hugs, and thanks.
This isn’t goodbye — it’s a see you later around the community. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for trusting, supporting, and allowing us to be part of your lives. 💛
