The Vaad of Northern California, also known as Sunrise Kosher, is a community service organization whose mission is the maintenance of a high level of Kosher quality supervision. It is composed of Rabbinic and lay leaders providing kosher certification, supervision, and inspection for caterers, wholesale and retail food vendors, and food production companies in Northern California.

KOSHER UPDATE: After countless efforts to contact the new owners of the Krispy Kreme franchise in Mt View, and upon hearing that our letter of certification was removed by the store from its display, we have no alternative but to inform the community that Krispy Kreme is no longer under the supervision of the Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California. This type of corporate decision was threatened before by Krispy Kreme. Emails which politely appealed the decision were successful in preserving the Kosher supervision. Emails can be directed to Jay Spongberg at [email protected]. (WKS Restaurant Group is the corporate umbrella for Krispy Kreme in Northern California.)
