USD 113 Food Department has been sharing information about the kitchen staff in our district in celebrating Valentine’s Day. Look who received a special shout out on the page, one of our very own kitchen ladies! We ❤️ you Donna! You make a great addition to Laurie’s awesomeness.

The next Valentine is to Donna Heinen in our Axtell kitchen! This may be Miss Donna's first "official" year as a full-time food service employee, but she is no stranger to the program. She's been our secret right-hand for quite some time, helping out a few hours a day or as needed on and off, and I'm so grateful she's been there to help out in a pinch many times. I'm even more grateful to have her there now everyday, all day! Donna is an extremely hard worker and her strengths compliment her co-worker's so well. She's the details person to Laurie's big picture, and I only wish she were with me to keep me organized! 😆 I know there have been times when she's looked at me like I was crazy when I've suggested something 😄, but she is always, always willing to give it a try! Because when it comes down to it, she just wants what is best for the kids. And how could any director ask for more than that. Thank you for everything you do for our program, Donna. 🥰

If you have New Year's certificates left, please bring those in and we will take care of them. You must have the certificate! Also, you may tan for $4.50 a tan until September 30th!

Thanks for a great 8 years, but all things must come to an end. Although the rumors have been there for several weeks, we have just decided in the last week to "officially" close the store, effective September 30th. All items (while supplies last) will be 40% off, excluding greeting cards and digital photos. Anyone interested in fixtures, please let our staff know your name and phone number and we will call you with pricing. Knowing that this may frustrate some of you, please know that we have heavy hearts in doing this, but sales cannot sustain our expenses any more. Again, thanks to so many great customers over the past eight years!

AC went down after electricity blipped Wednesday evening. Repairman is on his way to fix this morning. Come get your choice of Smoothie for $2.50 to get cooled off.
