We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the events that happened on Main St. early Saturday morning. This is not what A21 was established to be affiliated with. It has been our desire to be a place where people can come together with friends and family to enjoy some amazing food and have a few drinks, or a place to drop by after a long day and unwind with a glass of wine or a cold beer. Violence has never been, nor will it ever be tolerated at A21.
First, we would like to counter some information that has been circulating. This was not a drive-by incident, nor did it happen within the boundaries of A21. However, our employees reacted and responded immediately to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone who was still in the area of A21 at the time of the incident.
Second, we did not close down our page in response to this incident. Our page had been deactivated for approximately 2 weeks prior to this happening due to a scammer stealing Rocky's profile and attempting to steal money from people by selling non-existent items. Since Rocky was an admin of the page the scammer had access to post on the A21 page and began doing so. They were also chatting with our followers on Messenger and I was able to stop some "sales" since I also have access to all of the Messenger messages.
Finally, we are not permanently closed. We are working to bring you an even better establishment and look forward to seeing you all soon. We do have a tentative re-open date that I will be sharing in the very near future.
We will be keeping this page open at this time; however, please be cautious of replying to any posts that may appear to be Rocky selling anything. A21 admins never have and never will attempt to use this page to sell items for personal gain. This page is solely intended to inform the people of Rutherfordton and the surrounding areas of any events or specials that may be happening at A21.
