The fire victims from the Russellville senior housing fire, want to to extend their gratitude to the churches, community, and those that donated financially, or with clothing, and or house hold items. Your genorousity, was overwhelming God bless all those, who contributed. The fire victims received, clothing, house hold items and various item to help to restart their lives. They also received just under $10,000.00 in financial donations to be split among the 4 victims. Russellville, you did it again, proving that we are a caring and compassionate community. Thank You again for your response to this tragedy.

Have I said before, how much I love this little town. We had a great response yesterday of clothing and some house hold goods for the fire victims, and received $560.00 in monetary support as far. Again I will be up at trinity parrish hall today taking donations 8am to 6pm, I think we have enough clothes to help out, but regular house hold items could be used, I can not explain, how much these people appreciate the community’s kindness. I want to personally say God Bless each and everyone who donated items and money, I know you don’t think your act of kindness means a lot but every little bit does help, and it reassures the victims, that people really do care. So again Russellville I LOVE you guys

Decorating is on going, but the city of Russellville, the mayor, city clerk, and the council members, want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT ! To the following people who donated lights and decorations for the city park Shirley Jungmeyer, Jane Wisch, Denise Earls, Lisa Ecton, Rose Stroble ( Andee & Gary Doolittle), John & Debbie Crum, Karen Anderson, Whitney Chainey, Pastor Merkel, and last but not least Ben & Lisa Mehrhoff of the Lions Club. I know to all of you who donated, it does not seem like a big deal, but it was a great deal. It make one feel good to know that there are people out there who really care and are ready to step up to the bat and help get things done. I have the utmost respect and love for each and everyone of you. This is the 2nd year that we decorated the park and had caroling, we would like to make this a yearly and city wide event with other groups and or organizations to decorate parts of the park in their organizations name. Again thanks to all who helped us so far God Bless You
