They say every great story starts in a garage. For us, it started in 2016 with an electric smoker—a Christmas gift from my dad, Albert—and countless nights experimenting with recipes alongside good buddies.
Since those early days, Bucher Boys has grown more than we ever imagined. From that first little smoker to commercial rigs feeding over 1,000 people a weekend, we’ve tried it all: pop-up tents, the BBQ shed, and our food trailer. We’ve been honored to serve tens of thousands of you, and we’ve loved every single minute of it.
You may have noticed we’ve been a little quiet on social media over the last six months. I don't usually share personal details here, but you are more than just customers—you’re our community.
My father, Albert, is currently in the latter stages of his battle with Dementia. He is at home with my mother, and as anyone who has walked this path knows, the challenges are daily and profound. We are leaning heavily on our faith and our support system, taking things one day at a time. Because of this, we intentionally slowed down the business to focus on what matters most: family.
As we look toward the upcoming BBQ season, we are evolving again. We are streamlining our focus to become the premier caterer and bulk food supplier in the region.
Here is what’s changing:
A New Home: We are currently constructing a dedicated prep area and kitchen in Rushville!
The Trailer: We are officially moving away from the mobile/festival side of the business. Our food trailer will be up for sale in the coming weeks.
Focus on Catering: This means we will no longer be at vendor fairs or festivals, allowing us to dedicate 100% of our craft to your private events and bulk orders.
Because our new kitchen is still under construction, we will not be able to offer Easter orders this year. We want to ensure that when we open those doors, the quality is exactly what you expect from the Bucher name.
Thank you for your patience, your prayers, and your continued loyalty. We are ramping up for a massive season and can’t wait to feed you all again soon.
Stay tuned here and on our website for progress updates!
