Start your Monday mornings off right with a Red Eye at The Wayfarer Cafe.

A Red Eye is a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso poured over it. When the crème floats to the top, it has a subtly red color in a round dot. We’re happy to make a red eye with our drip, a French press, or even in a cold brew.

Today is a Waste-Free Friday!

At The Wayfarer Cafe, we prefer to waste as little food as possible. We regularly donate most of our left over pastries, but some of them, we keep in the freezer to turn into bread puddings. Today’s Bread Pudding muffins are made from a blend of chocolate chip scones and cookies, toffee scones, and a batch of Apple Pan Dowdy.

From the other end of waste prevention, we make our Monkey Bread from the dough trimmings that result from all the fresh biscuits we use for breakfast sandwiches.

Today at The Wayfarer Cafe, we’re playing around with strawberries! Today’s Funny Cakes have our house made strawberry compote hidden in their fudge, and we’re trying out strawberry swirl muffins!

In recognition of the recent Cyclospora outbreak, we will not be serving or decorating with frozen or raw fruit until further notice. All fruit and vegetable products will be cooked to above the minimum temperature necessary to kill the parasite.
