I’ve seen a lot of people lately ripping on Vinny’s after the news that the restaurant closed — and honestly, it’s shameful. For 37 years, Vinny’s wasn’t just a pizza place — it was a part of this community. They sponsored local teams, donated to schools, supported fundraisers, fed first responders, and quietly helped families in need more times than most people realize.
Vinny’s gave back so much more than they ever got in return.
Before you judge, remember what small businesses have been up against:
🍕 Rising rent after a new landlord took over
🍕 Skyrocketing food and supply costs
🍕 Increased wages and operating expenses
🍕 And fewer local people supporting local businesses
Vinny’s didn’t close because of a lack of heart or effort. They closed because it’s nearly impossible for small, family-run restaurants to survive when the community they’ve supported for decades stops showing up.
So instead of tearing down a place that served this town for 37 years, how about we show a little gratitude and respect for everything they did while they were here?
Thank you, Vinny’s New York Pizza & Pasta, for the memories, the meals, and the love you poured into this community. You deserved better. ❤️
