As most of you know, I rent the building my business operates in. For the past month, we have been repeatedly pleading with building management to repair our broken air conditioning system. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, the issue still has not been resolved.
With outside temperatures reaching nearly 90° yesterday, it has become impossible to cool the building down before the heat of the day sets in.
For the past three weeks, I have personally been coming in between 4:30–5:30 every morning to open doors, air out the building, and do everything possible to keep the space comfortable for all of you throughout the day.
That all being said, we will be forced to close at 12pm today instead of 3pm for safety. I hope you all understand! Please know that we are not ignoring the problem or accepting these conditions lightly! We are continuing to push daily for a resolution and are doing everything within our power to keep the space as comfortable and safe as possible until repairs are finally completed.
I really appreciate every single person who has continued to support me during this situation.
As a small business, having to reduce hours because of an issue completely outside of our control, is incredibly difficult. 🫶
