Bakery vibes. Who’s got the best buns?

Following an enthusiastic reception when we opened at Glen Falls House, we immediately got to work firing on all cylinders - from our familiar breakfast, lunch, and brunch to events catering and evening barbecues and more. Now, we’ve decided to re-center our focus on our bakery program, and will step back from daily operations. Willa’s last day of service will be this Sunday, July 19.

Some familiar Willa’s faces will be joining the Glen Falls House kitchen team, and we’re excited to see what they’ll be cooking up this summer and beyond. We’re grateful to Glen Falls House and our Round Top neighbors for giving Willa’s such a warm welcome - and our deep gratitude extends to our amazing team and community who followed us up the mountain. Stay tuned both to Glen Falls House and Willa’s as we support each other in our future endeavors.

We’ll be open Wednesday through Friday this week (closed Saturday and Sunday on account of a lil wedding to cater) - so make your trip to Willa’s before the weekend. School’s out, bring the kids, we’ll supply the bomb coffee and good eats. We’ll even make extra cinnamon buns so you can get your fill before the weekend.

Here are the facts: it’s Juneteenth. It’s soon to be the 4th of July. We have strawberries from and raspberries from our very own garden. Add our homemade buttermilk biscuit and sweet cream, and you’ve got a party in your mouth, and a whole lot to celebrate.

Feels like a chocolate cake kinda day.

We’re open Saturday and Sunday, 8am-2pm for brunch, and Saturday, 4pm till we run out, for outdoor BBQ on the patio.

This cake may not last, but we will!

Anyone who’s been to Willa’s in the last few years knows and loves Olivia. Liv exemplifies everything our front of house strives for - starting with that genuine warmth.

She’s also the genius behind our curry melt, everyone’s work bestie, and makes the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten.

Our fearless kitchen leader turns … some young age today. (Even though she pegged my age at 54 when I was still under 40, something I’ll never let her live down, we won’t divulge her age.)

She’s a great mom, hilarious, hard working, one of the best cooks around, and all around stellar human being, and she’ll be working the grill tonight on her BIRTHDAY, so come by and show her some love.

We rank this right up there with our favorite holidays: the start of the bountiful summer fruit harvest in the Hudson Valley, which starts with strawberries from our neighbors and rhubarb from our friend Laura’s garden. Which means: strawberry rhubarb pie, strawberry pancakes, strawberries in your granola bowl!
