Okay, lemme tell you about our friend Jim. 🥹☕️

Or, as we have unofficially decided to call him…
✨ OUR COFFEE DAD ✨

Jim Curry is the man behind Royale Coffee Company right down the road in Perrysburg, and if you've ever had a cup of coffee at The Neighbors and thought, “why does this taste like actual heaven?” THIS CUTIE LIL GUY IS PART OF THE REASON 😂🤎

Royale has been doing this since 2007, and Jim takes coffee SERIOUSLY. They source specialty coffees from around the world, focus on responsible sourcing, and roast in small batches so they can really dial in the flavor of each coffee.

They even offer Smithsonian Bird Friendly certified coffee (one of only two roasters in the entire state), which supports shade grown coffee farming that helps protect habitats and biodiversity.

Like sir??? You couldn't just make delicious coffee? You had to make us love you MORE??? 😭

But here’s the thing you won't find written on a bag of coffee:

Jim is also just the SWEETEST 🥹

He has been so kind to us, so supportive, so patient, and so willing to share what he knows. We can ask him approximately 700 coffee questions and he never makes us feel like we're bothering him.

Very coffee dad behavior.

And when you're a little locally owned coffee shop trying to figure things out as you go, having people like Jim in your corner means more than they probably realize.

So when you drink our coffee, you're not drinking something that came from some giant faceless supplier somewhere. There are actual people behind it. There are relationships behind it. There is a very sweet man named Jim making sure the beans taste like heaven before they ever make their way into your cup. 🤎☕️

We’re actually going to be CLOSED tomorrow because apparently the appropriate way to kick off our new Y2K theme is to invite the neighborhood over to OUR HOUSE for a movie night 😂💿✨
