On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Loreti Council
#3240, at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, held its 12 th Annual Pizza Tasting
Contest.
Hours before the biggest snowstorm to hit the area in years, 135 people attended the event, with each attendee sampling pizza from seven area pizzerias and voting for their favorite.
The pizzeria restaurants who donated the pizza to make this event possible are: Calabria Pizza (Cranford), Costa's Restaurant & Pizzeria (Roselle Park), Johnny Napkins (Union), Master Pizza Brick Oven & Italian Kitchen (Union,
Carlstadt, Livingston, West Orange), Naples Pizza (Roselle), Papa Johns Pizza
(Kenilworth), and Vinny's Pizza & Pasta (Cranford).
This year’s event raised $1,700 for the Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to students attending Catholic high schools.
In a first for our event, two pizzerias tied for the top spot: Master Pizza and Italian Kitchen and Naples Pizzeria.
Family, friends and neighbors enjoyed a great night, made possible only because of the generosity of these seven pizzeria restaurants.
