I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone for their prayers and support.
Through this medical journey with around 14 admissions, Milton has been admitted to Chapel Hill Hospital for heart surgery, which will be a two-part procedure.
The surgical team has worked diligently to develop a plan to replace his valve and repair his heart. Part one of the surgery is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. During this procedure, the medical team will remove the lead from the pacemaker valve, extract the pacemaker, and implant a new one.
Initially, the medical team indicated that repair might not be possible, but further evaluation at Chapel Hill Hospital revealed internal bleeding, which was partially addressed during his first visit.
Milton is still awaiting a shot for gastrointestinal bleeding and received a blood transfusion today. Despite the complexity and risks involved, I have faith that the medical team, guided by our Lord and Savior, will navigate this challenging situation.
I appreciate your continued prayers for our family, especially Milton, and for the medical team. The prognosis indicates a lengthy recovery period, potentially lasting several months. I am hopeful for a positive outcome and give glory to Jesus for His guidance thus far.
