Meet Ralph.

We know Ralph is cute, but he’s going to take some work so please read the entirety of his post!

Ralph is a 2 year old English Sheepdog Mix. We do not have papers to prove otherwise - so mix it is! He is probably 55lbs. He lived outside for the first two years of his life. His owners were elderly and simply couldn’t care for or handle him. He doesn’t know how to walk on a leash. He isn’t going to jump in a car or out of a car- so be prepared to pick him up! He doesn’t know how to do steps. He is terrified of door ways and going through them. We have seen so much progress with him over the last few days though to the point he walked through the doorway!

The good part: Ralph is beyond sweet. His tail wags and he army crawls over to you for pets. He loves dogs - so a home with another dog is a must for him! He can live with kids and cats. We truly believe he will adjust quickly with a routine and patience!

We normally do not require a fenced in yard, but for Ralph it will be necessary due to him not walking on a leash. It will also help him being able to follow another dog outside to a yard!

Please consider the level of commitment he will need prior to applying (he will be worth it though!)
