I really don’t like mending or alterations on old disintegrating fabrics but I did a couple. This quilt is over 15 years old used by a wood stove in the mountains through several large dogs and many washings. My work is perfect still but the fabric is disintegrating. I had scraps of the same fabric and patched it because he can’t part with it. Pillow shams were king size.

Got a pillow order finished and a few more potholders. SF and my pastries tomorrow!

I stopped this project a few weeks ago but plan to put bias tape on the rest this weekend. Sun this morning to photograph!

Finished the lined curtains and learned a lot. Key is having room to lay out 96”. I will mark lines at intervals so I can get them perfect these were 89”. Have a little more work on boat curtains when they come back after fitting but am almost finished with my curtain jobs.

My new sewing shop setup!

I stepped into my design room for my rule and saw an almost empty bin and only got about 10 put away. Instead I got 2 quilt designs in my head. I’ve been hoarding a few farm animals and found the perfect back. It’s going to take me forever to get these bins emptied! It was so easy to match celestial patterns right from the shelf. This closet is only theme fabrics hallway has regular and kids room has kids. I have to stay organized or I spend too much time looking for a fabric I know I have………

This summer’s creations. I haven’t been idol but my back kept me from clearing my entry. 67 potholders no joke! I’m really proud of my Dolphin Quilt. Had 2 shows in Ft Bragg this year that I cancelled so this quilt went unfinished for most of the year. I can’t commit to shows anymore because when my back rages I am totally disabled. Lots of hours spent in my sewing shop please come by.

My dolphin quilt is almost finished in time for Paul Bunyan Show Labor Day. Only problem is my back! I won’t be able to go so my store is open long hours. Main sewing station TV broke so long hours in my shop…stop by and say hi. I guess my show days are behind me …..
